Meditation

Different forms of meditation have been used for thousands of years as a spiritual practice to create inner peace. But today, meditation is just as much scientific and secular as it is spiritual, with loads of exciting studies revealing exactly what meditation can do for our health and well-being.

The truth is this: We can eat the healthiest foods, exercise regularly, and avoid chemicals in our household cleaning products and cosmetics, but if we’re not caring for our minds—we won’t be optimally healthy. Stress is the sugar of the soul; it will wreck your health from the inside out.

Weight Management

Health defined by Ayurveda is holistic in nature as it looks at you as a whole person and not just a sum of individual parts. Ayurveda has gifted us relevant, practical, and empowering knowledge, as well as the insight and tools to help us at each stage of our lives. It is broad enough to focus on prevention to keep us healthy and free from disease, yet also provides us with the guidance to manage mind/body imbalances.

Rather than treating symptoms alone, Ayurveda provides a comprehensive balance by acting at the root level of the problem and not at the symptomatic level. Ayurveda says that our bodies are generally naturally healthy. However, we are ingesting toxins on a regular basis whether it’s our food, air, water, and our day-to-day activities (both physical and emotio

Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse

The spring months are the time when nature detoxifies the heaviness and toxins accumulated during the winter. The warmth of spring not only begins to melt the snow outside but also the impurities within the body, enabling them to circulate and potentially clog the various channels of the body, which can lead to illness and health disorders.

This can eventually leave you feeling tired, sluggish, and weak and can cause the skin to break out and look dull. This is why supporting the body in properly detoxifying these impurities is extremely important. Winter is associated with vata, the elements of air and space. These cool, dry qualities make us want to eat more heavy, warm, and rich foods to offset vata. Spring is associated with kapha and the elements of water and earth, which ar

The ingredients of the herbal powder will vary from person to person according to the chronicity of the disease, the intensity of pain, dosha predominance, and prakruthi of an individual. An abhyanga (body massage) is usually recommended prior to embarking on a Pinda swedan therapy.
